Frequently asked

  • No. One wall of WaveBlock SafeWall™ will not shut down Wi-Fi throughout your home. It only reduces EMF traveling through the specific wall it's applied to. If your router is inside the same room, the signal still travels through the door, ceiling, and other walls to reach the rest of the house. If the router is directly on the other side of that wall, the signal inside that room may be weaker, but devices inside the room continue to connect normally. Phones, laptops, and smart-home devices on the same side as you keep working as usual.

  • Because WaveBlock SafeWall™ deflects EMF rather than absorbing it, there is no heat buildup and no interference with electronics. Devices in the same room continue to function normally. The shielded wall simply reduces how much EMF passes through it from behind.

  • WaveBlock SafeWall™ is peel-and-stick — no paste, no wet trades, no renovation downtime. Most rooms can be installed by a two-person crew in an afternoon. It is fully removable and leaves no residue, making it ideal for tenant improvements, phased hospitality renovations, and spec-home staging. For large commercial projects, your GC or AV integrator can handle install directly; we also provide install guidance and training support for authorized dealer teams.

  • WaveBlock SafeWall™ is not an FDA-approved medical device. It is designed to help reduce exposure to electromagnetic fields and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. It is independently tested at TÜV SÜD, an FCC-accredited laboratory in the United States, for EMF reduction at 2.4 GHz.

  • WaveBlock SafeWall™ is independently tested at TÜV SÜD, an FCC-accredited laboratory in the United States. We do not claim FCC certification — the product is a passive wall covering, not a regulated transmitter.

  • Independently measured, WaveBlock SafeWall™ reduces up to 98.9% of WiFi and Bluetooth at 2.4 GHz in the standard peel-and-stick installation, and up to 99.3% when grounded. The full test report is available on The Science page.

  • No — WaveBlock SafeWall™ works right out of the box. In independent TÜV SÜD lab testing, the standard peel-and-stick installation reduced Wi-Fi and Bluetooth by 98.9%. For projects that demand maximum performance, we offer an optional grounded installation, which raised the reduction to 99.3% in lab testing. Grounding requires an additional step and a qualified electrician, so for most projects we recommend the standard install: peel, stick, protected.

  • Yes. We offer fully custom printing — your pattern, your palette, your brand identity, with the same lab-tested shielding built in. Custom orders require a $5,000 minimum, a 50% deposit, design proof approval before printing, and a 6-week production timeline. Custom WaveBlock SafeWall™ is ideal for hospitality suites, corporate identity walls, luxury spec-home showrooms, and retail environments. Contact us via the Contact page or your dealer rep to start a project.

  • Yes — children's bedrooms, pediatric waiting areas, and family suites often share walls with routers, smart TVs, and neighboring units. WaveBlock SafeWall™ is designed to reduce the EMF passing through those walls, helping protect the spaces where children spend the most hours of their day. It is a specification-friendly way to add a wellness layer to family-focused projects without changing the design palette.

  • The shielding is built into the material itself — there's nothing to recharge or replace. Once WaveBlock SafeWall™ is on your wall, it keeps working day and night.

  • EMF-shielding materials have existed for decades — hospitals, labs, and government buildings rely on them. But traditional shielding is industrial-grade: rough materials, foils, and meshes designed to be buried inside walls during construction, never seen or touched. That's why it stayed out of commercial interiors. WaveBlock SafeWall™ was engineered differently from day one — a clean, finished material designed for the surface of the wall, in the spaces where people actually live and work. Same category of protection. Built for a finished interior, not a job site.

  • WaveBlock SafeWall™ is designed for clean, smooth interior surfaces — painted drywall, smooth primed plaster, smooth finished wood, glass, and mirrors. It is not recommended for textured walls, raw drywall, brick, stone, concrete, or freshly painted surfaces that haven't fully cured. See Installation & Surface Compatibility on the product page for full details.

  • Yes. Dealer sample programs are managed through the dealer portal. Apply or log in to view current options.

  • A shared demising wall is one of the strongest applications. Occupants cannot control the devices in the neighboring unit, but WaveBlock SafeWall™ can dramatically reduce the EMF passing through the wall they share. This makes it especially valuable in hotels, condos, and multi-family projects where EMF control is critical.
